Release date: Feb-12,2026
I heard Teen Patti is a lot of fun, but after downloading the app, I’m completely lost facing the ‘Blind’, ‘Chaal’, and ‘Pack’ buttons—no idea which one to press.
This is the first reaction of nearly every beginner. This tutorial will walk new players through the detailed steps for playing Teen Patti online. After reading it, you’ll clearly understand:
✅ What to do first after sitting down
✅ What each of the three buttons means when it’s your turn
✅ When you must fold
✅ When you can raise
✅ How wins are determined at showdown
Target Audience: New players who have downloaded the game, are ready to start, and need guidance on “what to do next.”
You open the game, select a “free room,” and the table loads. Don’t rush to click any buttons—first confirm two things:
① Boot Value:
This is the entry fee automatically deducted by the system before each game begins.
It is typically displayed in the center of the table, such as “Boot: 100”.
You do not need to pay it manually; the system will automatically deduct it from your chips.
② Your initial state:
Online games default you as a blind player—cards face down, you haven’t seen them yet.
The chip area on screen will display an icon with closed eyes 👁️🗨️.
⚠️ Don’t rush to click the “See Cards” button—blinds offer a cost advantage, which we’ll cover in detail later.
The system deals three cards face down to each player in a clockwise direction.
✅ No action is required at this stage.
✅ Your cards are already in your hand, though you haven’t seen them yet.
⚠️ Don’t panic—the dealing process is fully automated. There’s no need to rush to click anything.
Finally, the screen lit up with the prompt: “Your Turn.” Three buttons appeared before you. This is the core interface of Teen Patti.
| Button | Action Meaning | Cost Rules | Applicable Scenarios |
| Blind | Don’t look at your cards; keep playing. | Pay 1 times the current bet amount (online platforms typically set this as the minimum bet) | Want to save money, want to apply pressure, have a bad hand but don’t want to fold outright. |
| Chaal | Continue playing after looking at your cards. | You must pay double the current bet amount. | The cards are pretty good; I want to play seriously. |
| Pack | Exit this game | Having lost the chips already wagered, I will not participate in this round. | The cards are too weak, and opponents are raising too aggressively. |
Golden Rule for Beginners #1: When in doubt, packing is never the wrong choice.
Many newcomers get stuck after clicking “Chaal”—what are those ‘2x’ and “4x” buttons on the screen?
If you haven’t seen your cards, you are in the “blind” position.
Minimum raise: 1x the current pot size (call)
Maximum raise: 2x the current pot size
How to raise: Click the “Raise” button, then select “2x” to raise to double the current bet.
Key Rule: Whatever amount you add becomes the next player’s “current bet amount.”
If you have already seen your cards, you are in the “card-viewing” state.
Minimum raise: 2x the current pot size
Maximum raise: 4x the current pot size
How to raise: Click the “Raise” button, then select either ‘2x’ or “4x”
Key rule: After you raise, the next player’s “current pot size” is half the amount you raised.
Calls are typically controlled via a slider or +/– buttons.
The screen will directly display: “Call requires XX chips” or “Raise to XX chips”.
⚠️ The most common mistake for beginners: failing to check the raise amount and immediately clicking the maximum bet.
Beginner’s Golden Rule #2: Before lifting your finger from the screen, double-check the raise amount.
Raise blinds by 1–2 times; raise after seeing cards by 2–4 times.
Raise blinds by any amount, and the next player follows suit.
Raise after seeing cards by any amount, and the next player pays half.
This is a rule unique to Teen Patti, and it’s also the most confusing aspect for beginners.
Side Show is not a “free look at cards,” but a “bet on who will fold.”
✅ Eligibility Requirements (All Must Be Met):
You are a card-viewing player (already viewed your cards)
More than 2 players remain in the hand
The player before you is also a card-viewing player when you act
🔄 Cost: Requesting a Side Show requires paying 2x the current ante
🔄 Procedure:
Click the Side Show button
The system sends a request to the player before you
The player before you may choose to accept or decline (If declined, gameplay continues)
⚖️ Showdown Outcome:
If your hand > previous player → Previous player must fold
If your hand ≤ previous player → You fold
Beginner’s Golden Rule #3: Side Show isn’t an advantage—it’s a 50% chance of elimination. If your hand is weaker, you’re out immediately.
This is the decisive moment of the game.
✅ Conditions: Only 2 players remain in the hand
💰 Cost Rules:
Blind player initiates showdown: Pays the current bet amount
Caller initiates showdown: Pays double the current bet amount (and the opponent must also be in a calling state)
⚖️ Winning Hand: The player with the stronger hand wins.
🏆 Tiebreaker: The player who did not pay the showdown fee wins.
Beginner’s Golden Rule #4:Don’t rush to click Show! Many new players get excited when only two remain and click showdown, only to pay a high fee and have a weaker hand. Wait one more round—your opponent might fold first.
| Ranking | Hand Name | Description | Example | Occurrence Probability |
| 1 | Trail / Set | Three cards of the same rank. The highest hand. | A♠ A♥ A♦ | 0.24% |
| 2 | Pure Sequence | Three consecutive cards of the same suit. | K♣ Q♣ J♣ | 0.22% |
| 3 | Sequence / Run | Three consecutive cards of mixed suits. | 10♠ 9♥ 8♦ | 3.26% |
| 4 | Color / Flush | Three non-consecutive cards of the same suit. | Q♥ 9♥ 3♥ | 4.96% |
| 5 | Pair | Two cards of the same rank. | J♦ J♣ 5♠ | 16.94% |
| 6 | High Card | None of the above. Compare the highest single card. | A♣ K♦ 7♥ | 74.39% |
There are dozens of variations of Teen Patti, and you don’t need to master them all—but before entering a room, you must clearly understand which rules are being played at that table.
| Variant Name | Key Differences from Traditional Rules | How Your Operations Need to Adjust |
| Muflis | The player with the smallest hand wins | Go for small cards like 2-3-5. Three of a kind is trash—don’t be dumb and raise. |
| AK47 | A/K/4/7 are all wild cards | Any hand containing A/K/4/7 could be a set, so be extra cautious when raising. |
| Joker | After dealing, randomly select a suit. All cards of that suit become wild cards. | Keep an eye on the Joker suit announced at any time. Holding cards of that suit = a chance to form a diamond flush. |
| 4X Boot | The ante is the standard 4x | Raise your fold rate; don’t pay high prices to see cards with weak hands. |
| Pot Blind | Players cannot see their cards throughout the game; blinds double each round. | Pure psychological warfare. After the third round, stakes become extremely high. If you haven’t won in the first two rounds, it’s time to fold. |
Golden Rule #5 for Beginners: When trying a new variant for the first time, play five rounds in the free room. Observe only—don’t place heavy bets.
✅ Habit 1: After receiving cards, do this first (takes 3 seconds)
Apply the “Three-Second Decision Rule”
High cards with max < Q → Immediately tap Pack
✅ Habit 2: When it’s your turn, if hesitation exceeds 5 seconds
Default to selecting Pack (Hesitation = insufficiently strong hand)
✅ Habit 3: After losing two consecutive hands, do this immediately
Leave the current table and take a 5-minute break
This prevents “tilt”—emotional decisions are the biggest chip killer
✅ Habit 4: When facing a blind player who raises consecutively
They might have nothing. Call with a bluff once to see if they dare raise again next round
✅ Habit 5: When holding medium-strength hands (suited connectors/small pairs)
Never open-raise. Just call to control pot size.
✅ Habit 6: When reaching your daily loss limit
Close the app immediately. Come back tomorrow.
Now, open your game and start a free room. Receive your cards and make your decision within three seconds. When it’s your turn, clearly identify the buttons.
You already know how to play. The rest is up to time and the card table.
